Gold Star Brigade

The Band Spring Spectacular - an evening of fun, food and formal entertainment is scheduled for Friday, May 22.  The night will include a trip to Amoeba Music, dinner at Philippe’s, and a concert by the LA Phil at Walt Disney Concert Hall.  If you would like to go, we need your non-refundable deposit of $50  per person by Monday, March 9th, along with an RSVP form, which you can print by clicking here.  The remaining $60 will be due by Monday, March 23.  For more info, please see the RSVP form.  By the way, we will be needing parent chaperones (same price - $110 - as the students) with the same deadlines as the student payments.  We are looking forward to an unforgettable evening!

While we have had a link to the fine photos at SCV Sports Shots since the site was updated, we now have links to photos that some of the boosters have taken.  A perennial favorite on the site, the photos page can be reached by clicking on the Gold Star Brigade Photos link to the right.  Some of our parents have stepped up to the plate and given me photos to post.  Now we know there are more of you out there - we’ve seen the cameras!  Contact me at webmaster@goldstarbrigade.org if you have some photos to share.

This year we bid farewell to the old Gold Star Brigade logo and say hello to a new.  The old logo has been around for enough years that nobody really knows how long its been used.  Although perhaps the Glancy family (Kevin - French Horn and Guitar) could go through their extensive collection of band shirts and see where it first appeared there!

The new logo keeps the same basic design elements as the old, but freshens them up a bit. We used the new logo in the student t-shirts and the booster wear this year, and it will become our identity going forward, eventually getting on to our letterhead and even the side of our trailer.
